Need a speaker for your meeting?
The Delaware County Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management is dedicated to ensuring the residents of Delaware County are prepared for disaster through education. We offer free presentations on severe weather awareness, emergency preparedness and emergency communications (9-1-1) to schools, scouts, civic groups, homeowner associations and other interested groups.
There is no cost for our presentation, and the knowledge you gain could save your life.
For your convenience, our staff can visit your meeting location or your group may schedule your meeting at our office in the Delaware County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) located in the City of Delaware. After hour and weekend presentations are also available upon request.
Scouting:
We offer information and discussions that assist in receiving emergency preparedness related merit badges. We can coordinate merit badge needs and bring in partners from law, fire, EMS and 9-1-1 (and other agencies) to contribute to the discussions.
Schools:
We offer age appropriate programs dedicated to severe weather safety, emergency preparedness and what 9-1-1 is and how to use 9-1-1 properly.
Homeowner Associations, Civic Groups and other interested groups:
We offer information and discussions on severe weather safety, emergency preparedness and what to expect when you call 9-1-1.
